1982年シアトル生まれのSara Gazarek　初リーダー・アルバム。2000年ロスアンゼルスの'the Thornton School of Music'に入学、まだ学生中の2003年 'the Downbeat Student Music Award for Best Collegiate Vocalist in 2003' を受賞。 このアルバムでは、その後長く共に活動するJosh Nelson(P)のトリオをバックに、ビートルズ・ナンバー、Joni Mitcell、オリジナルからスタンダード・ナンバーまで多彩な曲を歌っています。スタンダード・ナンバーも伝統的なスタイルではなくアレンジを効かせています。John Coltraneが'Ballads'で演奏した'Too Young To Go Steady'はJosh Nelsonの音を選んだシンプルな伴奏で、バラード曲の名唱と呼びたい出来栄えです。なお、'You Are My Sunshine'はオリジナルCDにはなかったボーナス・トラック。(June,2021)
